Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing most excellent! Mike(aka Helmutt) and I are going to be In the Saskatoon Blitz June 9th! Meeting more people and seeing what new attractions will be there this year, It will be an excellent time for sure. This past month after the Calgary Comic Expo has been very relaxing, but time to shift gears for summer and future events! I will be in Medicine Hat Saturday June 23rd, for their Fan Roundup! as well I will be participating in GenreCon in Guelph Ontario November 16th, 17th, 18th! I very busy year indeed! I am very excited to be a part of these events and to meet new people in these awesome industry's of animation, comics, anime , and gaming! Hello everyone! I am so bad with this journal stuff! Ok so Helmutt and I are gonna be at this Aprils Calgary Expo! I very excited to see my family, friends, and people in the industry! Its gonna be a blast. Mike will be showcasing new stuff and so will I. So some of you know and some of you don't know I got a job... at La vie en rose(lingerie) store, so I have been busy busy, juggling everything. I went through a bit of a art block but seem to be back in action thanks to a little Blind Guardian. As well as balancing all these areas of my life out.  It has been a very busy winter, weather has been mild compared to what we are used to. My husband and older son play hockey and my younger son is in Wushu and I take Krav maga soo...very busy indeed!  Im gonna try and gear down here in the next few months to hone in on a few areas of my art. I was kinda stuck in limbo for a while with what area I was to go in. I think I will just do what i feel, I can't help the large fact that im a character designer and my job is to mimic, and to show movement with my work. We will see what this year holds, in the mean time I hope everyone is having a good 2012 beginning.  Caakes

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! That was such a surprise! I had a good birthday too, Woke up, made a waffle breakfast for my family, then played Skyrim that afternoon, then went for Dinner with my husband that evening, it was a nice mellow day with my family! My sons made me cards that were pretty funny too, I should post them..LOL! Thank you again watchers!

Ok everyone I know I haven't posted much of anything, been very busy! Some of you know I have kids, some of you don't! So they are keeping me busy! As well as getting some commission work done! A very busy fall indeed, at least the weather has been good in Saskabush! I gotta draw more and was gonna start doing some inking, on existing comic pages for some practice, thanks to Surftiki I know what to do now! Hope everyone is doing well!   Caakes

Hello everyone! in the month of today through August I will be doing commissions if anyone is interested!
They will be on bristol paper or comic sheets of your choosing size is 11 by 17(30$) or 8 by 11(15$). If its television cartoons characters that are wanted they will be on model but any characters that are more complex(marvel,WOW, D&D etc.) I will be doing in my own style. All other things like animals, pets, are welcome. No backgrounds and no Characitures of people. Message me if you like! Take care everyone!

Ok now im gonna get back into the swing of things, like drawing again. I took a bit of a break since the Calgary Comic con the weather has been way to nice to be inside. So on this rainy day im back in action. Hope You all are doing well!

Hello everyone!   Well this comic con in Calgary was amazing! Some of you know that I got reunited with my brother, who I haven't seen in 16 years! he flew form Florida with his girlfriend to meet us there. It was his first comic con. I was ecstatic for them to be apart of this with Mike and I! He had such a great time and is planning to come to the next comic on as well.
  As for Mike and I we couldn't have asked for better "booth" neighbors. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly.  I was happy to meet a lot of new people as well as see a fellow DA friend there! As well as artists Mark McDonnell, and Fabian Molina who are good friends of mine,  so happy to see them again since last year! I also got to see again Jim Zubkavich(Zubby) and Omar Dogan. I asked Omar, and Markl if they could critique my portfolio, took my notes and got alot of insight of things is need to work on. So happy for this you have no idea! Thanks you guys for your help! All in all Im am so tired, so very tired....sighhhhhhh. just feeling burnt out!. I was also very happy for my in laws to take our boys camping for the weekend. They helped out lots! We also got to see a few actors, Michael Hogan, and Christopher Judge, Mike got to see Summer Glau! No fair! Good times!
   I thank everyone there who helped make this Con happen! Can't wait till next year!
